First meet of the season

Ruri and I are having a slow start this season....Ruri is getting used to the 110mm wheels, so are the boots:-) The Luigino Challenge 2007 model has an "anti-torsion" construct that rubs on the middle wheel. I had to put two washers between the boot and the frame to jack up the boot so the wheel won't rub the bottom of the boot. Not only that, I had to file away a part of the carbon fiber too. I'm also getting used to the 3 point Bont Vaypor boot, and MPC wheels, yeh!





Today we drove up to Rohnert Park for the first meet of the season, I didn't skate but Ruri did well, challenged to the Sophomore races and all in all, skated 8 races:
- 1500m Sophomore long (challenge up)
- 1000m Freshmen long
- 1000m Grand champion long (with boys)
- 700m Sophomore short (challenge up)
- 500m Freshmen short
- 500m Grand champion short (with boys)
- 2000m Freshmen below open
- 2000m mixed two relay

That's a lot of skating!
