Final meet of the season

Ruri placed 2nd individual overall in her class
Ruri did well today at the final meet of the season at home court. She got an individual overall second place (up from 5th in previous meet). She also placed first in the two girl relay. This race was particularly important because she fell at the first tag as she was doing the relay pool with a girl that she doesn't know and never skated together before. However, she got up and actually won the race! That'll teach her a lesson: never give up because no matter what happened, you can still win.

The competition for masters is rather intense, we are one of the only two groups with heats. I didn't even qualify (3 out of 5 qualify) for the 1000. In the 500, I had a good start, hold on to third position at 300, when I attempted a pass I fell. But I did plae second on man's two relay (out of six teams), and placed again second for man's four reley.

Ruri didn't do as well in the standard division and got 3rd for individual and 2nd in 2000 mixed-two relay. Since it's going to be tough for her to go to nationals, so the coach decided that she should not go to regionals either so as not to lose her JO status too soon, so this is the last race of her season. There are a lot of improvement, she had made a lot of friends, and developed more love for the sports. Oh, by the way, the team has won both JO and Standard trophy for the South West region.
